Pros

- Had a great Director & AD at our site - Food drives for the communities

Cons

Never felt valued or respected, for how much they claimed to value and respect us. Burnt out so quickly with lack of support, even after continuously expressing our needs to upper management. The nail in the coffin for me was when they asked staff to donate parts of their paychecks to a charity the company benefitted from working with. In a pandemic, when multiple of my coworkers were making so little working here that they actually qualified for assistance programs. It wasn't mandatory, but having the highest of leadership ask this made many staff feel the need to give what they didn't have. Just left such a bad taste in my mouth.

Thank you taking the time to share your feedback about our work environment. We're so glad that you had a positive experience with the center leadership but sorry that you did not feel the support that you felt you deserved from upper management. Also glad that to see that you felt the food drives we ran for families throughout the pandemic was a good thing, It is in that same spirit that MHEL participates with the Mile High United Way voluntary workplace giving campaign. United Way does so much good in our community and workplace campaigns allows them to do that work.

Pros

They try to give good benefits compared to other ECE programs.

Cons

The worst thing about working here was the fakeness. The CEO Pamela Harris only cares how things look, not about what’s really happening. So on PD days we all have to sit on zoom and listen to her tell us all about all the great things we’re doing and you sit there thinking ‘then why is every day a mess of chaos, understaffing, and news of the latest firing?!’ Licensing and Head Start say you can’t be one teacher alone with the children but Mile High’s entire staffing plan is set up that way and then they fire staff when something goes wrong in that scenario. The few good people in management have all been fired or left. The rest are so afraid to speak truth to the CEO that its gas lighting every day, every where.
