      Pros

      It could be a really great organization but it falls short. There is potential.

      Cons

      Terrible management, not run professionally. You have to be on the inner circle to be respected or considered for any input. The inner circle is very small, 3 people. They aren't very bright and make decisions by the seat of their pants.

      Pros

      Mid-States is a purchasing cooperative owned by and operated exclusively for a group of very successful independent farm & ranch retailers. Brands like: Murdoch's, C-A-L Ranch, Coastal Farm & Ranch, Big R, Runnings, Atwoods, Theisens, Orscheln, to name a few. Mid-States provides central services to these retailers and operates with a relatively casual or family yet results-based culture. Great people, great clients, strong financials and a great company led by a very competent, motivated and strong leadership team!

      Cons

      Purchasing cooperatives operate on behalf of their stockholders. So growth & change are dictated somewhat by the pace and growth of the stockholder companies.
