Pros
You will have the opportunity to work with high profile mining companies and develop experience as well as a networking base.
Cons
Micromine used to be a family when it was a family business. It has turned into quantity vs quality. Total sales mentality created by the private equity owners. Products quality has gone down and is extremely buggy. Managers & development teams do not listen to their customers. If you are client facing you will spend most of your time salvaging relationships. Too many managers present whom lack product, technical knowledge and not many operational staff on the ground. Promotions are a bit confusing. If you are good at your role, you will be kept in that position. They will give you a title change, but the reality it's a facade and the job remains the same. On the other hand, new starters are given the preference for career progression and promotions. Also, bonuses are only given to managers.
