Pros
Decent benefits, no forced retirement. Because I work with manufacturing & production systems, I'm on call 24/7. I've only been called once at night in six years; everything else can wait until morning.
Cons
Pay and advancement: though I started as fab grunt, I'm now an engineer, but I don't see anything further happening.
