Pros
Wellness initiatives and community giving are important to Michael Foods. The people are nice.
Cons
I worked for less than 6 months in the corporate office into a newly created position. The job description I applied to wasn't close to what I ended up doing. My manager was rarely in the office, having little time to train me. I didn't even get a tour on the first day, and had to sit in someone else's office the entire time because mine hadn't been set up yet. They use multiple systems that, not only take forever to get access to, they make it hard to keep information organized. All decisions needed to go through Post Holdings, and they dragged their feet on everything. There is no flexibility in certain departments for those with young families. If you're not at your desk until 5pm, you're looked at as a slacker, even if you come in early and work after hours and weekends.
