Pros

1. Good exposure to the biotech/IVD space and early-stage product work 2. Chance to work across functions and learn a wide range of skills 3. Many hardworking and capable colleagues at the working level 4. Some roles have decent work-life balance (largely due to lack of clear goals and accountability)

Cons

1. No job rank or pay equity: People doing similar work often have different titles and pay, with no clear explanation. Creates perceptions of unfairness and undermines morale and retention. 2. Weak organisational structure: Leadership runs the company with a research/start-up mindset where structure and process are seen as hindrances to circumvent rather than enablers of scalable growth and execution. Reporting lines, decision rights, and ways of working are unclear, so teams end up building their own processes, causing misalignment and rework. 3. Poor communication culture: Important decisions, expectations, and changes are often shared late or not at all. Information is tightly controlled, including sensitive issues like pay delays (and payday changes) were not communicated until days past the payday, which damages trust. 4. Unclear direction and accountability: Corporate goals and priorities are vague or constantly changing. Accountability is inconsistent, and capable staff are often overloaded without proper recognition or compensation. 5. Short-term focus: Projects/products are started for quick visibility rather than long-term strategy. Many initiatives lack clear roadmaps or ownership and eventually stall. 6. False sense of autonomy: Autonomy is talked about, but mistakes are blamed, feedback is discouraged, and initiative is often taken for granted. 7. Post-IPO priorities: Since the IPO, leadership appears more focused on share price and optics than on building a sustainable, well-run company.

Cons

Toxic colleagues always complain on each other and may closely observe work and highlight errors like late coming, and Limited career growth structure, no strong bonus system, workplace culture can feel uncomfortable at times.

Nice people and a good place to work. Although there isn’t a formal training system, there are many opportunities to learn through hands-on experience.

The training system could be more structured and standardized.
