Pros
Flexible schedule. Some of the managers do a good job. Some of the customers are very nice.
Cons
The pay was very low for part-time staff. The raises come in insulting 5-10 cent increments and they only come about once a year. They never schedule enough cashiers and scheduled cashiers are forced to rush and deal with angry customers. They frequently cut hours. Customers are routinely angry because of long lines, inefficient processes, etc which cashiers are forced to deal with. POS systems are old and inflexible. No employee discount of any kind. Absolutely zero pride in work. Lack of common sense from management.
