Call only position with the promise of it becoming permanent only to find out that statement was relayed to other PRN’s, call and base pay is low, parking is far/uncovered, CEO doesn’t return emails.

Coming from a smaller size hospital but big company like Methodist and known high paying hospital in DFW, I needed more shifts. Since MDMC is bigger than my other PRN, I have higher chance of getting shifts because there are more monitoring stations, more staff taking PTOs, higher chance of staff calling out sick and therefore opening the shift, etc.

More workload and higher census! Almost 50 patients on heart monitor per station.
