Pros

I'm very blessed to be added to a wonderful team who cares for one another.  My transition into this role has many challenges, COVID is just one of many.  However, my team, HR (Brad O.) and managements alike had never given me reason to believe that I'm not looked after.  I'm blown away by the level of care this organization has shown to their employees during this trying time.  I take pride in telling people that I work for one of the best company around, and in turn I always demonstrate that same level of unity and caring to all those around me. Side note to our WONDERFUL HR team, Mr. Brad O. has done a phenomenal job in helping me with my onboarding process. I can't thank him and his team enough.

Cons

Haven't experience any yet. I felt like this organization is really doing a fantastic job in improving their employees experience.

Pros

Coming from a smaller size hospital but big company like Methodist and known high paying hospital in DFW, I needed more shifts. Since MDMC is bigger than my other PRN, I have higher chance of getting shifts because there are more monitoring stations, more staff taking PTOs, higher chance of staff calling out sick and therefore opening the shift, etc.

Cons

More workload and higher census! Almost 50 patients on heart monitor per station.

We're glad to hear that the flexibility and availability of shifts have been a benefit for you. As one of the region's largest health systems, Methodist offers opportunities that can help PRN team members find the schedule that works best for them. We also recognize that higher patient volumes and workload expectations can come with working in a busy, high-acuity environment. Supporting our team members remains a priority, and we continually evaluate our compensation programs and workplace resources to remain competitive and help our employees succeed. Thank you for the important role you play in caring for our patients and for being a valued member of the Methodist family.
