Pros

The learners are the best part of this job. A lot of the people who work here genuinely care. If you end up on a good team with good coworkers, the day-to-day can feel meaningful. Just know going in that the meaning is going to come from the work itself and the people next to you, not from how the company treats you.

Cons

Career growth is the biggest issue and the thing I'd want anyone thinking about taking a job here to know. Promotions are not fair. When too many people meet the bar that was set, the bar gets changed. It's become something people talk about. If you're coming in as an IC and you're looking at the promotion criteria they show you at the offer stage, don't assume those are the criteria that will actually apply when it's your turn. Who gets promoted has a lot to do with who likes you. Two people can do the same quality of work and end up in very different places based on how leadership feels about them personally. It's not about output. All-hands meetings don't match reality. What gets said on those calls is not what's actually happening in the company. After a while, you stop trusting anything that comes from the top, and you start relying on what you hear from your coworkers to figure out what's really going on. Pay is the other big one. The gap between what the top of this place makes and what the bottom makes is bad, and you can look it up yourself in the tax filings since it's public info for nonprofits. For a company that's supposed to be about helping people earn more money, the pay structure inside the company doesn't match the pitch outside of it. Morale is low. A lot of people who used to care are now just showing up for the check. That's not a good sign for any company, and it's a really bad sign for one that sells itself on mission.

Mission-Driven Culture: Employees genuinely commit to a powerful purpose that creates tangible, life-changing impact. Future-Proof Stability: The organization thrives amidst economic and technological changes by staying ahead of market trends both internally and for our customers. High-Autonomy Environment: A culture of self-motivated professionals fosters trust, independence, and strong results. Innovative Focus: Dynamic and forward-thinking work centered on dismantling systemic barriers and building new technical training tracks.

Cons

Unclear Career Progression: Limited and poorly defined pathways for internal promotions and professional advancement. Stagnant Mobility: Low turnover rates create a bottleneck, leaving few immediate openings for upward movement. Sustainability Risks: Current high morale and low turnover may drop as the company approaches its 10-year mark without structured growth.
