Pros
Work from home Set your own hours
Cons
Pay is reliant on students arriving to calls, the student doesn't show, you don't get paid. A new plan is in place with a very ambiguous "if you complete other work when they don't show" requirement to be paid if a student does not show to a call (no clarity on how this is determined). No superannuation or penalty rates Poor bonuses with difficult requirements (get a student to renew + have 3 months working with them, so forget about year 12s providing bonuses) Poor assistance from leaders: Weekly call reviews are provided in 15 minute meetings that are always rushed Poor communication with coaches over team assignments and details You will not be appropriately compensated for preparing for calls, you receive 5 minutes pay for a call on a subject you are unfamiliar with, spend any more to prepare and that is considered unpaid this doesn't apply to the numerous weekly students you may have, you get 0 paid minutes to prepare for them. The bottom line is, this job is not worth the stress of maintaining personal and professional connections with 25 weekly students + other occasional students as well as the extensive admin work that is required of you for only $25 ph without superannuation, realistic bonuses or penalty rates.
