Honestly, I can't think of one! I was a state employee at Southeast Louisiana Hospital before Northlake took over (state contract) and Jindals brilliant idea to privatize Southeast Hospital was to give the state contract to a company that has been in business less than a year and had never run a hospital before!! There is one PRO…the employees who stayed on through the transition. They are simply the best and committed to what they do.
Cons
Administration. From the top down. The same CEO stayed on but he has no backbone to implement real positive change. The same DON stayed on but she is useless except for writing policy. Meridian administration they brought in…clueless! They have put the most incompetent people in key positions. The pay is the worse. State employees to a 20K cut in pay. The worse part is that nobody cares about the problems. The people you have to go to about the problems ARE part of the problem!
