You're helping people who are truly in need and doing a good service. The overall mission of the agency is positive. Sister Pat is great and what she's doing is great. Many nice staff members/coworkers.

Though the overall mission of the agency is positive, it is executed extremely poorly. Staff in residential facilities are treated very poor and often overlooked. Upper management is consistently adding new tasks to the job responsibilities (almost weekly) without any added compensation. I'm not saying they added one or two more tasks here and there, it was CONSTANT additions and the tasks were things either other departments should have handled or should have been discussed during hiring/interview. Many job responsibilities are not specifically assigned to any position (disorganized) therefore slip through the cracks and get thrown on whatever staff is there. The pay for what is expected of you is an absolute joke. Working for a nonprofit in my opinion is more about the good of the work than the pay but, it gets to a point where the pay is actually a JOKE. If I were doing just my job responsibilities I could be okay with the low pay however, the constant additions make it unbearable and unacceptable. Staffing is horrible, never enough employees scheduled or employed in general. One staff member on shift is INSANE. Expectations were unrealistic. Some of the main office staff are so rude and lazy I don't even understand what their purpose is besides for them to walk around acting like they're on a high horse. Burn out from this job was astronomical. Very unorganized, My overall view of this job is used and abused. They use you for all you have until you burn out and nearly lose your mind.
