Pros
Meraki is a fun, inspiring place to work where you will find friendly and talented colleagues, smart technology, and a brilliant work-hard play-hard culture. Employees are extremely well cared for, with fantastic daily facilities available to them, including a kitted-out games room, multiple working spaces/environments, catered lunches, stocked fridges and snack bars, as well as special treats - including trips abroad with most expenses covered, quarterly team outings, financial recognition awards and incentivised competitions. Meraki offers a very comfortable office, with fantastic balcony views of the city office, open space (even enough for skateboards to be used) and modern technology for employees to utilise. Whilst Meraki offers no "official" work from home policy, due to the huge benefits from maximised face-to-face teamwork and collaboration with your peers, arrangements are made to help accommodate particular working situations, with generous parental leave and flexible options available for those with families. Employees do not need to be concerned with having to book appointments (e.g. Doctors) during working hours, or being required to temporarily leave the office during the day, as their time is very much self-managed, operating on a responsible basis of trust. As Meraki grows and breaks into new territories, working here offers new opportunities for employees, as well as the chance to develop additional projects and expand your professional skill set, as well as leadership-training opportunities to grow your career. Meraki offers a fantastic track record of promotions, with members of the Inside Sales team moving into senior, team-lead and field positions every quarter. Our HR function London is fantastic, and can be described overall as a department that excels "above and beyond" to care for the well-being and functioning of the entire team. Employees enjoy generous face-time with our HR department, instead of remote and impersonal communication. Any issues that arise are resolved quickly and professionally, with follow up/ check-ins put in place. The management team offer a diverse skill-set, with a combination of backgrounds and experience, who strive to make the best learning environments for their team members, allowing employees to excel. Management are extremely approachable and can always be found easily in the office - sitting directly with their teams instead of being shut off in separate working spaces, including our Inside Sales Director. Weekly meetings always focus on achievements of employees, calling out different members each week for their work, which also facilitates knowledge-sharing and learning opportunities for others.
Cons
Working closely with other teams overseas can be challenging due to the time differences. This can cause slight delays in decision making and outcomes. However, overseas networking with our team members also plays to our advantage in problem-solving situations, where trouble-shooting can commence in one office region, and be handed-off to the next team if required, without losing time overnight.
