Pros
Got to work with a lot of peers my age and learn a lot of customer service skills in the time that I worked for Menards. I also got paid extra for working on the weekends and if you worked more than 1,000 hours a year, you got to participate in profit sharing.
Cons
They often have unrealistic expectations of you. I didn't call in frequently, but once I had to go to the ER for an ear infection and the Front End Manager was incredibly annoyed that I couldn't be in for my shift. Wasn't a terrible place to work, though.
