MSS worked very hard to fit the schedules of students to physicians in their area. Often getting paired with a practice that aligns with their career goals. Huge resume help! Tons of networking ability.
Cons
Office placement can take some time or require a small commute.
Some of the staff were pretty friendly and made you feel welcomed. I hear the offices are cool to work at.
Cons
I never got placed during the 4 months that I was there (quit because of this) and was therefore not getting the experience I wanted and more importantly was not making a stable income to support myself. when I brought this issue up to them they never really apologized for the situation and just defended themselves and were frankly pretty rude about it. It felt like a waste of a summer especially because I turned down another summer research job opportunity to get more clinal experience instead. I hope things have changed because I know they are new and figuring things out. not that that excuses the situation.
