Pros
Thanksgiving potluck and the occasional fire drill that for a few minutes, did not remind me of where I was working.
Cons
I worked as a finance clerk for MMS for over a year. I was promised an increase in pay and advancement that never happened. In that year, there were 3-4 different HR reps so getting any answer about time off or insurance was nearly impossible (including promotions). The owner and CEO is absolutely clueless as to how to treat her employees with respect and gratitude. If she sees your cell phone, hears it rings, or hears it vibrating in your desk drawer, it's an instant termination (yes I have witnessed this first hand). You must clock in and out of every day, including your half hour lunch. If you are in the bathroom for too long, eye brows are raised. When tax season came around, I was in charge of sending out previous employees tax returns. Out of the 46 current employees, I sent out 50 tax returns. Needless to say, there is an extremely high turnover rate where 70% quit, and 30% get fired. An overall horrible company that sucks the happiness out of every employee.
