Pros

Strong training tools Good communication between teams Flexibility in schedule - there is definitely strong encouragement to take time for yourself for family, fresh air, or even just a breath. As long as pressing matters were completed, you could manage your own schedule Good incorporation of holidays and heritages. There are definitely some truly kind souls who are helpful and understanding and inclusive. They make you feel seen and heard and would absolutely give you the shirt off their back if needed success is celebrated and shared with the entire office.

Cons

Management is highly invasive in personal lives, to the point of overstepping boundaries Inability to keep emotions in check when things get tough Upper management can cause major anxiety when approaching minor issues just by how they talk. And by minor I quite literally mean a sentence worth of feedback. management will talk about you behind your back and after you leave management will also be incredibly petty and immature if their feelings are hurt Zero handover process - you just have to hope that whoever had the job before you is thorough No process to keep people accountable. Multiple times there were employees taking advantage of no one checking their work.

Unreasonable Expectations. Low staff Retention. Toxic Leadership. Lack of action. Poor training after onboarding. No accountability. POOR PAY! A whole team of people have left since the start of 2025. They hold no consequences for people who walk around the floor bragging about the lack of work they do. Management is all talk and seems to make no effort to fix the toxic environment they have created. 4 people quit with no notice and all 4 suffered from mental breakdowns, and received no support from management. 1 person ended up in an inpatient facility. They ask you to do the absolute most with no real recognition. There is nothing but empty promises and a crap show when you walk in the door. You will not ever get a chance to really move up in the company, and if you do be prepared to be completely lowballed for salary. They can try and defend themselves, but there are over 80 people that can tell you bad working here is.

We have a great team and agree that a definite pro of working with MediaCross is the people. We work to create a work environment that great people want to be. We understand that everyone is entitled to their own perspective, but we must say that we wholeheartedly disagree with the majority of sentiments shared in this review. There are many statements here that go beyond opinion and are not factual. We promote from within whenever possible; almost every member of management was an internal promotion, each with 7-10 years of job history with MediaCross. As for pay, our pay is in line with or higher than market averages for relative position(s) in the Norfolk, VA area. The turnover at this office is also lower than industry averages, with the largest cause of turnover being employees leaving for a GSA job or a planned career switch to align with their degree or personal passions. Though it is hard to see a team member go, these are good things for the person leaving and we wish them well.
