Pros
Despite everything because they have cool brands they do attract good people, for about a year or two, so if your lucky during your time there you might make a few good friends.
Cons
Reading through the comments I can see frustrated replies from the business at other comments that it can’t possibly be a bad atmosphere, because there’s fruit, and a Christmas Party. Which they do. And so do most London employers. But the unhappy atmosphere is caused by the day to day interaction. There are ways in which you can interact with people on a daily basis which can show respect or lack there of, when your emailing, when you speak to people around the office, how you conduct yourself in a meeting. Most ways in which this is done by management at this company just shows contempt, lack of trust and how utterly disposable the low level employees are. I came into MBI excited for my future, and willing to work hard and apply myself. I left feeling burnt out and worthless, because there was no amount of work I could put in, no amount of responsibility I could take on, no amount of late nights, no amount of spending hours getting work perfect for meetings (only for that meeting to be cancelled and forgotten about) that was ever going to make them treat me like a human being. In my first week into my new job after leaving I heard the words ‘thank you’ for the first time in a very long time, and I am not missing the free fruit.
