Pros
pay is competitive, there's much scope to learn and gain experience, opportunities for career progression are plentiful, you'll meet some wonderful people.
Cons
the job is 1,000mph nearly all the time, they really take their pound of flesh! The politics at the company is crazy, management at all levels seem like they're competing for medals, which filters down onto shop floor level creating a poor work culture, communication between departments is via walkie-talkie, for some reason it was decided that everybody needs one, there's no sensible escalation procedure when there is an issue so the radio noise is just constant all day/night which can be stressful. quite a rife blame culture going on there too. seems like everyone is running around panicking just trying to cover their own backs which isn't ideal. expected to work on bank holidays and most of the main days over the xmas period.
