Pros
If you want to get fired during training, for no reason, this job is for you!
Cons
I was in training for a VA case builder position. I was so proud that I got a position where I could be of service to our vets. Things started off well. The training was indepth and I was learning lots of new things. The last week of my employment, we were given report cards. I had things I needed to improve on, so did everyone, but was assured that this was our first evaluation, and that we had several more weeks of training to learn and grow in this position. However; only one day of receiving my report card, the manager called me up and told me that I was terminated immediately. I was shell shocked. I couldn't believe the words I was hearing. Especially after being told the previous day, not to worry about our first report card grades. I asked the manager why I was fired and he refused to let me know. I feel that if I'm going to be fired, I am at least owed an explanation. I still had over two months of training left, and while I was not perfect, I was still learning and growing in this position. Apparently VES expects you to be perfect at a job that requires several months of training, in only a few days. VES doesn't care about the livelihoods of their employees, much less the vets they supposedly assist with their disability claims.
