Pros
- Best facility, you will feel like working in US or UK. - Best cafeteria, you will have options of Dominoz and Subway, Chinese. - So many leaves (only if managers allow you to get it) - Free snacks of 500 rupees per month. - They are building few new products. (but they are not sure if they can get some customers for that) - Acquiring so many small companies world wide and moving their operations to India to save cost so more jobs to Indian software engineers. They are even hiring director level roles for few projects. - Nothing else :(
Cons
Mastercard started the operations in Pune in 2013/2014 by acquiring ECS. The main purpose of Mastercard India is to close all their overseas teams and start teams in India to save the money. First couple of years everything was good as teams were in transition state. Now the real Indian game (which is politics) has started as most of teams are established. - Everything is in hand of Managers, even if you perform well, he can give you less increment. - Managers of software engineers are non technical (what an irony) - Work life balance is only for those who are favorites of manager. - Internal project switches have became difficult. - HR is for namesake, they do not even take your exit interview when you leave. - No onsite at all (only managers get it, that too short term). All in all a manager show now .... nothing else !
