Pros
It started out as a fun place to work but took a dark turn. They have (and had) the right people to make a great team, but leadership doesn’t seem to know how to utilize them. Everyone (from my vantage point) under leadership is collaborative and trying their best. However, they are accountable for outcomes with no real decision making power, leaving them stressed/burnt out.
Cons
This place is the definition of a toxic work environment: (very) poor leadership, highly disorganized, a lot of blame-shifting, tons of manipulation, minimal support, uneven work distribution, poor communication, gossipy, mentally draining, and ultimately a thankless job. Real concerns are dismissed with poorly-timed humor, which only fans the flames. There’s no synergy within the different departments, which is evident in the work. Their holiday policy and 401K “match” are laughable and their diversity is lacking, across the board.
It feels like the leadership team is more focused on self-preservation than actually making changes that could benefit the company. Every employee I've seen speak up has been laid off, despite having valid points that could improve the environment. Their process of weeding people out seems flawed and detrimental to the success of the brand. It’s a shame that so much good talent has come and gone throughout the years.
The cherry on top is that your career will not advance from working here. This place values obedience over creativity. Despite having talented people, leadership’s chokehold on virtually everything hinders the brand’s development and success. This job is merely a paycheck, nothing more.
