Pros
- Almost everyone is on the BCBA track, so there is a lot of expertise and camaraderie among ABA staff - Really capable and enthusiastic related service providers (OT/SLP/PTs) - 45 minute lunch breaks
Cons
- Admin team is out of touch with day to day issues. Lack of compassion and consideration for staff. I don't know a single ABA therapist who feels valued and respected for what we do. - Everyone being on the BCBA track means that 1:1 supervision is limited; CMs are stretched too thinly, especially with their increased caseloads - Major clinic changes are NOT managed effectively due to bad communication. Plans are not well thought-out and rushed - Feels like MBC is moving towards a sinking ship. Intaking too many new students than the current infrastructure can handle, and expecting that ABA staff won't burn out (so many of us already are & close to quitting) - Building has MAJOR issues. It's shared with a synagogue, so student materials are frequently misplaced over the weekend & MBC does not seem to have a good line of communication with them. Only 1 staff bathroom in the entire building. Plumbing issues. Generally outdated facilities.
