Pros

I've worked at Mad Creative Agency collectively for 6+ years and owe a lot of my growth and success to my experience there. Since it's a smaller agency, there's a great deal of creative freedom that you won't find at a larger one. Day-to-day could be anywhere from developing a brand identity from scratch, to building a SaaS platform. This diversity in work and level of ownership will challenge and broaden your creative capabilities, quickly! The positions here are fully remote, with occasional in person meetups (if you'd like). They offer flexibility like no other, creating for a very healthy work/life balance. I'm usually not an advocate of the "work family" mentality, but here I just truly felt that. The CEO, Madeline, is incredibly thoughtful and caring. Through the ups and downs that an agency naturally experiences, her teams best interest was always top of mind. You can trust you're in great hands. If you're looking to collaborate with wonderful people, be hands on with great clients and accelerate your creative growth on all fronts, MCA is the place to do it!

Cons

No hand holding here. If you're looking to just "slide" by, keep looking.

Pros

(1) It's a small company so you're in the driver's seat, not on the sidelines watching the action. You are exposed to a plethora of projects from different clients, and you get to design for different industries and consumer segments. (2) Flexible work hours and very cool boss. For example, if you're working on a project late at night for a rush client deadline, you can sleep in the following morning and start later. (3) Winnie, the Malemute-Husky 🐕 mix graces you with her presence every now and then. Oh, and shortbread cookies. Lots of them. (4) Office is located in a cool, retro 80s building and the inside is gorgeous. If you're at an impasse for design inspo, simply gaze out the window and watch cute Chad walking his fluffy English cocker spaniel as they head to Venice beach and I promise you your design juices will start flowing 😉

Cons

Sometimes you don't get to see the full cycle of a ux project after we've finished the design and it is passed off to the developer. But such is life at a design agency. Cross your fingers and hope the dev agency executes your vision correctly!
