Pros

The work is engaging, with good access to research, which is standard across the industry. The team is generally friendly, and the work environment is professional.

Cons

Despite claims of performance-based bonuses, payouts are inconsistent and often revised down. The company promotes itself as employee-friendly, citing benefits like extended maternity leave, but these perks are either not implemented or not adhered to. Support for further education is advertised, but in practice, pursuing additional qualifications is discouraged, with management viewing it as a distraction. Work-life balance is poor—even during statutory holidays, employees are expected to be available due to chronic understaffing. Hiring is slow, and the team operates under significant pressure to meet unrealistic expectations. Employee concerns are frequently ignored, yet staff are blamed when things go wrong as a result. There is minimal respect for employees, with an outdated hierarchical culture where underperforming managers remain in place. Career progression and salary growth opportunities are extremely limited, especially in a declining sector with no clear strategic direction. Overall, the environment prioritizes appearances over genuine leadership, and the burden falls on an overworked and undervalued workforce. Would not recommend to a friend or family member.

Pros

You're surrounded by very intelligent people who know their stuff. They value amition and intelligence. They feed you a lot, which is nice.

Cons

Came into a new role and was expected to jump into work with little to no training and build expertise on things even my seniors did not know. Other employees were rude, dismissive and outright nasty to questions. Did not get to work with anyone closely and with long time staffers staying in their lane no one reached out to give direction for a new role. Expectations for my role were unclear and never communicated outright. I did ask what a typical 9-5 would look like during the interview process and never got a straight answer, which was a mistake on my part, but the onus is on the employer to give new hires direction and ensure they are fulfilling a role. A lot of training was "judgement calls'' but when new hires start they will not know the judgements they should be looking out for. Avoid!
