Salaries and increments are confidential information between the employer and the employees. Confidentiality is upheld in all areas of our business. All our staff gets their increments in a timely manner.
When new technology is implemented, this goes down as one of the goals for achievements and the action plan is formulated with the line manager.
As you acknowledged we provide a clean hygienic working environment. The tiffin provided for staff working unsocial hours is also a healthy choice. Alternatively, staff can opt for fruit tiffin, bring food from home or buy from amenities nearby.
There are opportunities to travel to UK, Europe, and other Countries and the selection is based on skills and willingness to travel; irrelevant to the time of service with the Company.
As you pointed out, our staff are supportive and not rude. We have a zero tolerance policy on this, and our work culture and work ethics reflect this.
Our system generated mail is automatically triggered where an employee is late for work. This is an important prompt for HR for monitoring to ensure that an employee reaches work safely. HR meeting only takes place whereby an employee is consistently late.
As do many other companies, we work alternate Saturdays with hours of 10:30 am – 5:30 pm, which we refer to as a shorter working day and not a half day.
To say that if employees are not productive for the company than management will immediately fire them is an unfair statement. We follow company guidelines before a dismissal.
You say our “salary increment is best in the industry”. These are only achievable with a dedicated productive workforce with a common goal of achievement.
Your comment on salary being paid late is misleading. Our salary run is monthly and on the 10th of every month, and always on time. We are very proud that since our existence we have never been late in paying our staff.
We have UK time shifts as well as India. Staff is made aware of this at the time of joining, and hence good family support is imperative to balance social and working life.
The way you have phrased your comment is that we provide only 5 days’ vacation in a year at Christmas, is totally incorrect. We are a UK Company, hence we remain open on all the Indian calendar festivals. However, staff have the choice to request leave from their paid annual leave balance which many do, hence we have a skeleton staff on Indian festival days.
Additional to this we have a compulsory shutdown same as our UK office during the Christmas and the New Year which are also paid leaves.
We have many events throughout the year such as birthday celebrations, pujas, annual Christmas party and other health-related events.
LCD TV is there for the employees use. However, many choose not to utilise it as they have their breaks with colleagues and opt to chat rather than watch TV.
Effective time management is important in a workplace and never has employees stayed back 2-3 hours of being 5 minutes late. This is misconstrued. We encourage discipline in the workplace as this is vital in all areas of our lives, not just working life. No employees have ever been deducted from their salaries for breaks taken above their allocated time but liberties should not be taken.
We have eight hours of production which are not continuous as employees are encouraged to take breaks.
It is with regret that you had insufficient time for development and testing and should have been raised to your Line Manager.
One must appreciate that personal mail couriered to workplaces is a major issue of confidentiality and the company cannot accept liabilities for lost or stolen couriers.
MSBC is ISO9001 (Quality Management), ISO27001 (Information Security) and CMMI level 3 accredited and as such to safeguard our company and clients data, we restrict personal data storage devices in our office. The phone is easily accessible from the assigned personal locker nearby.
Policies provide well-structured frameworks which are important for the successful management of any business.
Thank you for your advice to Management.
We value all our staff and treat them all with respect. Social and family life balance are utmost and we encourage this.
We will continue to find ways for improvements.
