Pros
I'll let you know when I think of any. There used to be free hot drinks (big whoop, and not even a water cooler), but the penny-pinching MD has just removed them, after initially proposing to dock the cost from our pay packets... The workshop manager is a top bloke, sadly it wasn't his department I worked in.
Cons
- Wages are absolutely shocking - they expect you to take on a great workload, with a lot of responsibility, for very little remuneration. - Unpleasant and hostile working atmosphere, especially in the sales/service office. Two particular staff members are very cliquey and not afraid to let you know if your face doesn't fit - I have heard them bragging about bullying my predecessor. The woman has a lot to learn about talking to people in general - she liked trying to boss me around (despite being a peer and not a manager), talk down to/about me and not tell me things I needed to know for my role. - MD is incredibly sexist - females, even managers, are expected to make teas/coffees, males are tasked with heavy lifting and manual jobs. Very rude and patronising individual who cannot take constructive criticism.
