Cons
When MES won the ACES contract, they slashed pay, provided less benefits, and hours. This is because the Army went with the lowest bidder and MES; MES is making a huge profit by paying employees less and providing less benefits. Back in 2010 I worked this same position making 18 an hour under a different contract. Now I make 14 an hour with less benefits, no bonuses, while doing the same amount of work. Additionally, for Christmas they sent ONE basket that the entire staff is supposed to split. Talk about a slap in the face! The turnover rate is extremely high because the pay is so terrible. There is little to no communication from MES management. They are a terrible company to work for and I look forward to the day that their contract is revoked.
