- You can get experience which will get you significantly higher pay at another company. - Some of the coworkers were good (many of the ones I liked quit while I was at Lumibird) - The laser safety officer was on top of everything.

- The pay is low compared to other companies. - Turnover rate. Many laser technicians quit while I was there taking a lot of tribal knowledge with them. In general, the work instructions are not adequate for integrating a laser. - Training is non-existent. You are expected to be as fast as the experienced techs from day one. If something is wrong with your system or diagnostic equipment good luck getting help fixing it. - Constant cost reduction efforts have reduced the quality of laser components to the point where things that should be identical and not cause issues can make systems non-functional. - Lack of innovation. If you come up with a better way to do something do not bother mentioning it because nothing will change. - Massive inefficiency. A lot of busy work is required because people don't know how to code. - Local management has little say in anything. The French parent company controls everything.
