Don’t care about employees - Manager Lockaway Storage Employee Review

The people here are really very nice and easy to talk to. They do care about their employees and let me tell you I have worked at another storage facility (not going to enclose name) but they were absolutely horrific. It is not corporate cold like a lot of corporations are.

I have been with Lockaway for almost a year and have been at same property for that period of time. My property is on the outskirts of San Antonio, and I drive 40 min to work every day. There are no apartments or low-income housing or even middle-income housing for miles. The marketing strategy is out of sorts. They do not want to hear what my asst. and I have to say and seem to think we don't know what we are talking about. So, feeling unheard is the only con I can think of.

Not much anymore, unfortunately, decent benefits though.

This was a great company to work for once upon a time, however, that changed. Certain promoted individuals should not have been, treated their underlings poorly by acting like petty dictators. In defense of the company, they did promote some people who outright stole from them, so their reaction is somewhat understandable. However, treating everyone poorly is not a good practice. If you want to work for them, watch your back, there are individuals who will stab you in the back or step on you just for a promotion. Sadly their customer service has declined as well and it has become all about money. Caveat Emptor...
