Pros
Get to show Self displine by having to stand 10± hrs a day soliciting people from outside storefronts for money. May find young friends to work with . And they encourage encouraging one another. If you don't mind , staying out all night to reach "bell"- "$400 a day expected to bring in a day from fundraising"asking people at stores for money. It's a learning experience in my opinion but not something to put all your eggs in this basket. But to each their own. Like they say. Know Your WHY for doing the Job.
Cons
Cons: The pay is unstable and not consistent even the safety pay at the beginning was reneged upon with hidden clauses. The supportive work environment seems like the best and most encouraging outlook of the job but you will quickly find out it's hypocrisy and only supportive if the upper heads/ supremacist consider you beneficial and able to capitalize off of. Otherwise they will secretly set you up for failure. It feels cultish because everyone is seemingly indoctrinate to this notion of how to act and think and no one is being truly Transparent or Honest about it all. It's basically Just making money for someone else, hustling the streets daily with the hope that one Day you'll be in charge and will have others doing that for you. Alot of people comfort themselves by thinking working there will get them rich quick and that they'll be the owner of the company Within a year . Overworked because they expect you to get there before 9am everyday and honestly want you to go home around 9pm after working the event/streets all day. Home Life balance will be completely throwed off. I would not recommend to someone who need home time for family or school. It's very time demanding. The coworkers there seem to have an agenda and not truly sincere. You have to use your own resources for gas to drive to these "events" Sometimes over 1hr.30 mins to drive to soliciting spots. Then when you come back to office have to wait another 30 plus mins to have them count your money and ask about what happened. Turnover Rate is high as they interview and bring new people in weekly. And it's very competitive and somewhat stressful coming in to work there.
