Pros

A handful of people who work here are genuine and hard-working, which adds a sliver of sunshine to your day. If you're lucky, you'll make lifelong friends.

Cons

- People are thrown off the deep end when they start working here. There is little to no training (even with "training modules") and everything you learn has exceptions that negate what you've previously learned. This leads to making honest mistakes, which are punished nonetheless by managers pressured to succeed. - Processes are inefficient due to using too many systems at once. - New systems are developed by people with no understanding of the old/current systems, or even insurance. - Employees are so overwhelmed by the volume of work that any responses or help you might need from them can be delayed days or even weeks. - Be prepared to work very long hours, occasionally cry in the bathroom, and not always have the support and understanding of your manager. - Word of advice: figure out who the smart people are, bribe them with sweets, make them your friends. They usually aren't the manager. It's a surefire way to get timely help, excellent training, and a new friend.

Pros

They have excellent benefits which start immediately, and the pay is higher than industry standard. The insurance is through Regence BCBS of Oregon, a sister company under the Cambia umbrella.

Cons

Management likes to use lots of business catch phrases to seem like they are making changes, but they are a big company who never really left the feel of a small company. The departments don't work together, there are no time frames given to staff or clients, the training is all powerpoints made by a someone who has never worked in this business before, they have software they have paid millions of dollars for that still doesn't work after a year and the CEO also manages a health app called HubBub, even though LifeMap needs better management direction. They are slowly but surely outsourcing every aspect of the business, from dental and disability claims, premium billing, to Customer Service. Soon the only thing that will be left are sales and account management, and all of the upper level management of course. Someone has to be in conference calls all day!
