Pros
This is a great place to start your career, or make an easy transition into sales if you've never sold before. Several top agents in the Sales department came to us with little or no sales experience and/or right out of college. You will not be cold-calling here. We are primarily inbound, which means you are spending the majority of your day talking to people rather than leaving voicemail or chasing people, which I personally appreciate. You will make some outbound calls to potential customers who have already visited the website and expressed interest in using our services. You will learn a lot about forming businesses, planning estates, and protecting intellectual property. These are things you can use in your own life if you are an aspiring entrepreneur or need to plan your estate, so points for useful knowledge you can take with you after you leave LZ. The management team is dedicated to the personal and professional success of each individual sales agent. You will have a Team Lead who has done your job and knows your role very well, and you will have a Manager who is never too busy to meet with you 1x1 to discuss anything you need to discuss be it a personal issue affecting your work or professional development.
Cons
If you are a seasoned sales professional that loves the thrill of the hunt, this may not be the best fit for you, since your time would be spent speaking to prospects that are coming to you. If you've been in and enjoy sales positions with a high degree of autonomy and self-directed time management, again, maybe not for you as your whole day is pre-scheduled to the minute (breaks, lunch, meetings, etc). This is pretty typical of call centers and not unique to LZ. Your shift is anywhere between 7A and 10P M-F; and 9A-6P on weekends. Shift bid is performance-based, so a bad month could affect more than just your monthly bonus check.
