Great place to work - IT Staff Member LearnKey Employee Review

LearnKey is a wonderful place to work. I've been with them for over 8 years, and I've enjoyed working with everyone there. You wear many hats since it is a small company, but I primarily worked in the technical support and client services areas. I improved my technical and customer service skills by troubleshooting a wide variety of situations. I highly recommend them as an employer for anyone looking for IT or customer service positions.

Some people might not like wearing multiple hats, but I think it added variety.

It initially offered opportunities for growth and cross training that were wonderful. During its earlier incarnations and iterations, there was at least a company desire to create products that educated first and foremost. They hired good people and for the most part listened to them. Even when the company gained a new majority partner, this atmosphere continued. At least until the original owner took back controlling interest in early 2011.

New management brought in (after the majority partner issue) was completely inexperienced in production of any kind on any level. Hence their requests were not only the stuff of comedic movie caricatures; they were counter-productive, and even destructive to deadlines. Wrap all of that up in a political culture that was the cliché of “corporate” come to life, and it made for an extremely stressful and morale crushing environment.
