Pros

Leapsome pays well and offers good benefits. The New York office has plenty of snacks and there are team social events (99% of which revolve around drinking). There is the opportunity to travel from New York to Berlin or Berlin to New York.

Cons

Leapsome's cultural values are nothing more than words on a page that Leapsome does not carry out on a day-to-day basis. Leapsome claims to be a "people-first" company but fires people at will and does mass layoffs (50% of the NY office). The team in Berlin is dismissive and sometimes outright hostile to the New York team, the Berlin team is jealous that the New York team makes more money. If you're in New York and you need help from Berlin, be prepared to wait -- if help comes at all. The Berlin team roots for the New York team to fail. The team dynamic at Leapsome is really sad. Sales targets are routinely missed and fewer than 15% of reps are hitting quota. Leapsome routinely loses out to competitors on deals from point solutions like PerformYard or more established players that they were supposed to beat like Lattice and CultureAmp. Selling for a company that's supposed to be winning the market but is constantly losing is a major drag. The US expansion is turning out to be a complete failure.

Hi đź‘‹ Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your experience at Leapsome. We appreciate your insights into both the positive aspects of our company and the areas where we have fallen short of expectations. It's encouraging to hear that you found Leapsome to offer competitive compensation and benefits, as well as enjoyable perks such as team social events and travel opportunities between our New York and Berlin offices. However, we are deeply concerned about the issues you've raised regarding our company culture, team dynamics, and performance challenges. We take allegations of dismissiveness, hostility, and jealousy between teams very seriously. Building a cohesive and collaborative work environment across our global offices is a top priority for us, and we apologize if you felt that this was not adequately addressed during your time with us. We are committed to fostering open communication and mutual respect among all team members, regardless of location. Regarding sales performance and market competitiveness, we acknowledge that there have been challenges, and we are actively working to address them. We understand the frustration of not meeting sales targets and losing out on deals to competitors. Rest assured, we are continuously refining our strategies and investing in resources to improve our competitive positioning and drive sales success. Thank you again for sharing your feedback. Your insights will help us identify areas for improvement and work towards building a stronger, more successful company. Best regards Katerina Arsova Head of Talent Acquisition Leapsome

Hello, Thank you for sharing your experience and for being part of our team. We’re really happy to hear that our inclusive and positive culture, as well as our focus on growth, feedback, and customer care, are resonating with you—that’s exactly the kind of environment we aim to create. We also appreciate your honest perspective on the team’s composition. Being a relatively young and fast-growing team does come with both opportunities and challenges, and the level of ownership and agility can be especially rewarding for many. To support our teams, our People Partners work closely with managers, and we offer dedicated manager training programs to help them grow in their roles and better support their teams. Thanks again for your feedback and for contributing to our journey. Warm regards, Jeanine Pfister People Operations & Senior Talent Acquisition Manager @ Leapsome

Cons

Overworked Overwhelmed Underpaid No diversity - hired a whole team that looked like eachother. White men Employment decisions made on a whim with no feedback or reason. People in leadership have no idea what’s happening at the deal level. Absolute disregard for the individual for a company that touts creating a good work environment. Just a number to them always
