Pros

I’ve been working at Lasting Image for over 17 years. Working for a family business is less stressful, than the larger company I worked for prior to Lasting Image. Working here has let me be more detailed for customers, if something is not correct we are required to stop the machine and have the problem fixed unlike in a large company where they are only looking for production. Quality is the main focus here and production is secondary. This keeps customers coming back. Friendly Co-workers working in a team environment make me enjoy coming to work every day. I take two buses to get to work and two more to get home. I have been doing that for 17 years. Rick and Linda have allowed me the flexibility…it works for both sides. We have paid benefits and receive an award for every year you are here, not many places offer that any more.

Cons

I take two buses to get to my job but they have allowed flexibility in my schedule to work around the bus schedule.

Pros

The benefits. Feeling of camaraderie from the other co-workers that were not management. Overwhelmingly good customer service to clients. In sales, there were many opportunities.

Cons

The price of excellent service is paid by demoralizing the employees. Deviate from their Core Values slightly and get berated for not following the rules. Management always uses the same phrases like "I know enough to be dangerous" to demonstrate faux dominance in a field they do not have experience in. One is free to give input or suggestions but be prepared to handle rejection a lot from management because they will already have an idea they were going to go with anyways. Many co-workers are there because they have no where else to go or are too afraid of losing their benefits which really brought morale down. Witnessed co-workers be yelled at in the public areas (not in a closed office) on more than two occasions. The printing department seemed really out of place and had a lot of bugs in their system.
