Pros
Mission driven work Intelligent colleagues
Cons
I'm saddened to write the following as I was genuinely excited to join Landis and resonated with the mission. Unfortunately too many of my colleagues felt the same way. This company does not care about you, or the life you may have outside of work. Any passion that you have for your job will be eroded away by the toxic productivity culture. Multiple teams had a weekend working requirement. This is on top of a working full-time throughout the week. Of course, they offered no overtime or any extra incentives. Even if you ask point-blank during the interview process if you'll be working nights or weekends, the recruiters will not be transparent about this aspect. Managers will be asking people questions after work hours and expect a response. There was a sense that if you gave feedback to management or shared a different perspective, you’ll be viewed in a negative light. If you attempted to set healthy and reasonable boundaries, you’ll be called out and viewed as unwilling to work. Another red flag is how the company doesn't have any dedicated HR Personnel. For a company of 70-80+, the only HR related roles are 2 recruiters. This should show you that the company's priority is on expanding, and not retaining or nurturing the talent they currently have. Don't fall for the "unlimited" PTO. With the micromanaging and output driven culture at Landis, I wouldn't even say taking time off in general was encouraged. But if you've read this far, you shouldn't be surprised.
