Pros

The pay and benefits are good

Cons

You are expected to work for crazy long hours until 10 PM and also over the weekend. They expect you not to have a life but to work only. For the past two years, almost half of the people in my group left due to the awful wok-life balance here. Company does not care about your health and expect you to work like a robot non-stop. If you speak up, they say: this job is not for everybody, and others are working with no issue, so you are the problem, so you maybe should start considering something else (meaning you are more than welcome to leave!). You need to be a "yes man" here to become their favorite. So, if you are looking to become a process engineer and like your health and family relationship, do NOT come to Lam Research

Pros

Good pay with decent benefits.

Cons

Highly toxic in certain (not all) business units. Directors and above held to far lower standards than employees. I received a lot of abuse from my manager and when I reacted, she used it against me over the course of five years, resulting in my launching an ER investigation upon which resulted in my termination. (They weren't even adult enough to tell me I was being fired; I found out by accident when I received a termination paycheck). Would love to recommend, but would never recommend Lam based on the treatment I got from my entire leadership chain over a five year period. PS, pretty sure retaliation of this nature is against the law; looking into it.
