Pros

Socializing and brownnosing will move your career forward faster than any billable work you perform. If you enjoy mind-numbing and routine tasks, LTE may be perfect for you. They will hire people with zero experience, so recent college grads can get a start in the field. Most staff level employees are genuinely good, honest people; can't say the same for management. Many opportunities to work alone and avoid the office politics.

Cons

Extremely low wages with high expectations; profits go straight to the top while workers get scraps. Technical and engaging work is very sparse. Management will throw you under the bus very, very easily. Working overtime does you absolutely no good and is only rumored to impact bonuses. Equipment is poorly managed and maintained, which remains a daily progress inhibitor.

Pros

Fantastic culture, the entire leadership team focuses on people development Company truck with fuel card (never abuse this privilege and show gratitude by taking care of it) 10k a year raise if you know how to budget. Group managers learning want to help you move on and increase volume Safety oriented and practical with teaching stopwork authority which is extremely important to maintain general site control across the industry Tom , John and other leadership have your best interests in mind as the company grows IF you are ambitious. Bonus in July Bonus at Christmas Lots of extras Amazing leaders Diversity throughout day to day if your willing to learn and be patient. They will certainly be patient with making mistakes, and teach you through them

Cons

There are no cons, more of a heads up on the Bonus plan. Bonuses are company performance contingent based. leadership makes the numbers based on ROI calcs for all the cool stuff they do for you, but lumps all groups that creates healthy competition. Here’s the problem bonus payout doesn’t reflect the division and is contingent even if your team kicks butt. *however keep in mind in 26 years, they only did not pay out in 1 year and the year prior we still got 7% and the fact not everyone gives bonuses.
