Pros
There was just 1, Pay- I received a very good salary & excellent bonuses
Cons
I was hired as an Assistant Buyer and Merchandiser... I was invited to sit in on 1 buying appointment and showing any merchandising initiative was highly discouraged. Regardless of your job title ir function, you will be nothing more than a store opener/closer, cashier and sales clerk... and even that will be micromanaged. Other issues: The store door(s) are required to be open year around despite the ac and heating units being insufficient. In winter we worked in coats, gloves and fur lined boots, in summer you swelter. You are also required to set-up, maintain and haul back in, multiple outside tables of merchandise every day, year around. LSL stores open earlier and stay later than any other retailers in the area. You will likely work alone in a store, sometimes in a store with no bathroom or breakroom. Store Managers don't manage anything, not their staff, their inventory, their operations, nothing. They are also just store openers/closers, cashiers and sales clerks. There's no training or onboarding provided so be prepared to sink or swim. But, judging from the rotating door and the fact that they are always understaffed, I can guarantee that you'll sink...or cut your losses and get out of there fast.
