everything sounds intelligent and framed well. docs, roadmaps, strategy. still nothing has actually worked and it's the slowest moving company I've worked at. you'll spend hours aligning and planning for multiple scenarios but will have no clue what to do tomorrow. they will always find a way to keep you busy otherwise resources are wasted. no one seems to know what is going on. oh and there's nonstop talk about moving fast and using ai. product loves telling everyone to use ai and brings outsiders to show us how to use it because we are too stupid to understand. instead of speeding things up, we've gotten slower than before. there's also pressure to write nonsense code so that a stupid feature gets shipped and product can feel good about themselves. more time gets wasted on reviews with feedback like "change this" or "tweak that". they don't understand the game or players that this is being built for. the company is “dynamic” in the same way a jungle is dynamic. product is king. other teams just scramble around trying to adapt. people get things done through chaos, not because the system works. hiring is another mess. hr is totally disconnected from what team need. random people get hired who are not a good fit and they quit. then everyone else pays for it. they don't know who they are even trying to hire. there's no vision. just a lot of preparation and hoping for the best. chatgpt might as well run the company.
