Poor communication, high turnover, lies about pay scale and coverage area. Bait and switch when it comes to pay and coverage area.

In AL and all other states that we provide home care, LHC is above the NAHC average with the pay we provide to our therapists. In addition to financial compensation, LHC Group offers so much more to our therapists. See below why working for LHC is a great spot to land for a career and not just another job:  Access to a library of hundreds of courses with CEUs at no cost to our therapists  Committees for field level therapists to serve and have a voice in the company  Flexible schedules  Career ladder to be introduced in 2016  One-on-one patient care  Fleet program  Culture of Best of Class therapists providing Best of Class care  Customized Orthopedic Program  Active Life Care balance training  Other Clinical Programs: Sr Residential Communities Program, Low Vision, Pelvic Floor “Beyond Kegels” LHC Group turnover percentage is very low for the home care industry and we are always looking at ways to create a better work environment for our employees. I encourage any employee to reach out to our leadership team if they encounter issues. We want to hear from you!

Pros

Autonomy, days go by quick, expectations are defined.

Cons

Unmanageable workload/cases. Expected to fulfill number of points per week. Charting beyond business hours every day. Start of care visits also included hands on care. One visit took 3 hours because of 8 wounds and that didn’t include documentation. Oasis is tedious and comprehensive. Territory was supposed to be 10 minutes from home; it was not. Sometimes 45 minutes between each case with 5-6 cases for the day. Totally unmanageable for a seasoned and organized nurse. I cannot imagine how it would be for a less experienced nurse. Overworked and overwhelmed my entire time. I learned a lot from training modules but then you’re out on your own to troubleshoot. Unless you’re willing to hustle every single day and are willing to chart during dinner time and then still take time to confirm next day’s appointments, stay away.
