Pros
Surprisingly, there are still a few good members of staff who really try and want the business to succeed.
Cons
Generally, just poor throughout. Turnover of staff is exceptionally high, especially of those with several years experience, so the deep knowledge in business is dwindling. This is probably the biggest factor in the declining quality of the work being performed. Also, replacing these knowledgable staff with inexperienced staff (sometimes new employees are experienced, but in a completely different field) is not going to improve the business, but rather accelerate the downward spiral even more. It all started going downhill once LGC acquired KBioscience and thought that they knew how to run the business better. I've not heard one member of staff who thought that the business had changed for the better and 6 years later, staff continue to talk about the "good old days". Ignore posts on here which are clearly from new management and state crazy comments about only issues are being able to focus on a few of the amazing ideas the company has. There have been no real new products in the last 6 years. The innovative part of the business has been quashed and the great R&D staff that did have innovate ideas were not listened to so have all left the company. Somone should tell management that tweaking of existence products is not innovative R&D!!! The same is now happening to Biosearch that happened to KBioscience (disgruntled staff, knowledge leaving the business and declining quality). Changes need to happen quickly to stop the rot in another part of the business.
