Pros

Strong emphasis on technology innovation and quality-first mindset, especially in the automotive domain. Great opportunity to work with top-tier engineers and be exposed to cutting-edge technologies like AUTOSAR, Functional Safety (ISO 26262), and high-performance embedded systems. Highly structured onboarding and training programs, including international training opportunities (e.g., HQ in Korea). Multicultural and international collaboration, especially between teams in Vietnam, Korea, and Europe. Stable company with clear roles and well-defined processes (ASPICE, safety standards). For those in system/software architecture or safety roles, LGE provides a strong learning curve and career path.

Cons

Decision-making processes can sometimes be slow due to multiple layers of approval, especially when working with HQ or cross-functional teams. Communication gaps may exist due to language or cultural differences between Korean and international teams. Internal mobility and project rotation could be improved to avoid skill stagnation. Compensation and benefits may not be highly competitive compared to some tech startups or Western companies in the same region.

Pros

LG used to be my dream job. 5 years ago, Every good part of LG ended. They preach all day about wellness, work life balance, and investing in their employees. And they used to do just that but not any more. Their 100% paid insurance is literally the only perk and its a trap.

Cons

They take motivated and competent individuals and shackle them with the workload of 5 or 6 people while telling them they aren't good enough, not doing enough, even though they are somehow finding a way to juggle all of the immense workload. PTO is a joke and no one respects it, they will call and ask you to work on your PTO, on weekends and at 10pm. They have no shame. The compensation is entirely below the bar even with 100% paid insurance. Promotions & Raises? Those only go to Koreans. Its gone so far down hill in the last 5 years. The culture in that office is so toxic but the job market is so restricted that you can't leave.
