My time at LCFS - Teacher's Aide LCFS Pennsylvania Employee Review

Pros

I worked as a teacher's aide at an after school program called BOOST. It was fun at times, but also tiring as well. I worked with middle schoolers so they didn't like instruction well. Summer camp was longer hours than the school year round and bigger checks so I didn't mind, and the kids seemed more amped.

Cons

The site coordinator was snappy at times. The kids sometimes was unengaged and grown, making my job less enjoyable. After school hours was 15 per week so the checks were small.

Pros

This company has many different services they provide for families, children, older adults and refugees/immigrants. Considering the full workload each LCFS employee maintains, management makes sure their employees are compensated with reimbursement for there mileage, a number of options for medical and dental benefits, LCFS also has a Wellness Incentive program which compensates each employee for attending medical and dental appointments, preventative screenings and participating in the organizations Wellness Challenges and Walks; to reinforce healthy living.

Cons

Overall the work environment is pleasant because dealing with the population we deal with can be trying so everyone has that common ground and uses their coworkers to vent about certain cases they may be dealing with. But just like any other office environment there are politics at times and it cause animosity.
