Pros

LAN will try to help you out get as many hours as possible. Most of weeks you will get overtime. Some of the office work is easy and interesting. When working with some of their clients (companies that hire LAN) you will be able to charge for driving time and mileage. They will also give you advice on how to satisfy their clients. Working with some clients will give you chance to get to know their leadership and maybe get a job offer so you can leave LAN. LAN is relaxed about taking vacation time. They let you take company vehicle, occasionally give you gift cards and buy you lunch.

Cons

LAN is staffing company, which means that they don't make anything. Their entire work deepens on other companies. So if you work for LAN you are at the mercy of other companies that LAN assign you to. Once those companies don't need you anymore, LAN will fire you as well. Most of their work is field work that other companies employees don't wanna do, so they hire LAN guys. The field work sucks, you will be exposed to: heat, bugs, snakes, swamps and mud. It is not really type of job that would provide you with valuable experiences. So once you start working for LAN, you will find it hard to get job anywhere else.

Pros

Flexible working arrangements, nice people. reasonable work expectations, lots of experience within the company to learn from, health insurance is covered by the company. Easy coordination since so many disciplines work at the same company, e.g. MEP, Architects, Civil, construction admin, etc.

Cons

health insurance isn't the best - it's a high deductible plan. Starting PTO is very low. Company pinches pennies in ways that hurt productivity. Company is also a bit stingy with employee "social benefits", like outings, happy hours, and 30-minute lunches.
