Pros

The people. Genuinely some of the smartest, most resilient, and collaborative people I’ve worked with. Teams consistently go above and beyond for one another, often succeeding despite the environment rather than because of it. There is a strong sense of camaraderie at peer level, and many individuals care deeply about doing great work and supporting those around them.

Cons

Kurtosys prides itself on carefully curated narratives about culture, growth, and people-first values, yet the day-to-day experience reflects a far less polished reality. The people are exceptional — collaborative, hardworking, and often the only reason projects succeed. Unfortunately, they operate within an environment defined by toxic dynamics, unrealistic expectations, and leadership that frequently lacks both technical competence and strategic clarity. Direction shifts without accountability, decisions are driven by ego rather than insight, and those doing the actual work are left to absorb the consequences. “Culture is built in the moments between deadlines,” a phrase leadership likes to quote — and in those moments, the culture is not empowering, it is corrosive. While leadership speaks fluently about transparency, empathy, and psychological safety, these values rarely translate into practice. Trust is conditional, communication is performative, and professionalism at senior levels is inconsistent at best. Growth is framed as opportunity, but more often manifests as burnout, constant firefighting, and an expectation to deliver the impossible with unwavering positivity. For anyone seeking stability, respect, and competent leadership, this is not an environment that nurtures happiness or sustainable careers — unless you are comfortable watching the ship being steered by people who do not understand how it works, while being told to celebrate the journey.

Kurtosys Response

Thank you for taking the time to share this, and for three to four years as part of the Kurtosys story. The depth of this review reflects someone who genuinely cared about the organisation, and we read it in that spirit. What you said about our people resonates deeply. The talent, resilience, and sense of shared purpose across our teams is something we hear consistently, and it is the part of Kurtosys we are most proud of. Every organisation at our stage of growth is on a journey, and that journey is not always linear. Scaling a business in a demanding industry means navigating complexity, adapting quickly, and asking a great deal of our people. We know that experience does not feel the same for everyone, and we take seriously the responsibility that comes with that. On the phrase you referenced: we mean it sincerely. Culture is built in the moments between deadlines, and it is a standard we hold ourselves to, not a line we recite. It reflects an ongoing commitment, not a claim of perfection. We are a business that believes in continuous improvement, and feedback like this, however difficult to read, contributes to that process. Our leadership team is actively invested in the experience people have day to day. That work does not stop. We wish you well in what comes next, and if you would ever like to share more with us directly, our HR team remains available in confidence.

Pros

Our office strikes the perfect balance of fun and focus – my colleagues are fantastic and I love coming to work every day. Kurtosys gives me the opportunity to learn and make an impact on our business operations and growth - I’ve learned more in my time at Kurtosys than I have ever before in my career. Management encourages employees to think outside of the box, develop new/better processes, and to continually improve. They trust employees and are transparent about financial results and company priorities. Plus, employee contributions are rewarded: management regularly gives accolades to hard-working employees. Summary list of pros: great office location, regular team events/happy hours, responsive IT team, smart colleagues, managers that want to mentor and develop employees, and an improving HR and performance review process. Plus, we’re growing quickly, which creates more and more opportunity for everyone.

Cons

It would be great to get more PTO for the US office (3 weeks is the US standard, less than global offices), though the 10 holidays are nice. Other than that, I have no complaints and consider this my best workplace/career move to date. All of the expectations set during my interview process have been met and I have not been disappointed or let-down by the company in any way.
