Pros
Unlimited vacation: may seem cool at first but management seems to frown upon those who take time off (at a company holiday get-together, our CEO made fun of one of the developers for not being present because he was on vacation... about 2 weeks later, he was let go).
Location: Central area in Manhattan. Near trains.

Cons
Recently acquired: the company got acquired by a Texas-based company like a week ago. We know that our jobs can be easily replaced since the cost of living in Texas is a lot less than here in NYC.
Layoffs/attrition: Within the last 2 months, many people have either been let go or have left the company. At a small company (really about 65-70 people, not the 80 something that the company website states), people notice when others are not in the office.
No innovation: our product has pretty much stayed the same for as long as I’ve been here. Our CEO even admitted to that some weeks back. Our biggest competitor is HUDL.
No HR: several of my colleagues have been berated by management for not making sales. We don’t really have a chance to speak up because there’s no one to speak up to. We just have to “shut up and do [our] jobs.”
