Pros
Kotter has a shocking ability to find great people to hire. Most of the new hires during my time were skillful and kind people. Dr. Kotter is a wonderful person and really wants the best for everyone. Unfortunately, he's been stepping back from the company in recent years.
Cons
Kotter had all the potential in the world, which made the failures so much more disappointing. Kotter has a lot of long-term employees in senior leadership who look at the organization through rose-colored glasses and are unwilling and/or unable to face the sources of their problems. There are also some seriously bad apples that have driven people out and ruined the potential of the company. I created so many incredible relationships there, but until the nepotism and favoritism is acknowledge and dealt with, there will only be continued turnover. The company is also divided between Directors and above and everyone else below, creating a world where half the company is a part of "leadership" and the other half is responsible for doing all the work.
